How can I lose weight with exercise induced asthma ?
I am an 18 year old college student 5 ft 10 and almost 200lbs now. I would like to loose 40lbs but am having some difficulty because I cannot exercise like I want to because of my asthma.
Even a brisk walk causes me to get breathless. Ive consulted my doctor and have medication for it but I still have difficulty when it comes to exercise. I dont think my eating habits are that bad and Im a pseudovegetarian I was a vegetarian for a long time but switched back due to health reasons and I eat a very diverse set of healthy foods with little or no junk. What can I do?

Its good to eat healthy but you cant eat too much of that either. Maybe youre eating healthy but are just eating too much. I would suggest you begin with walking and work your way up. The only other thing is to just reduce your food intake some more.
You dont have to do any exercise to lose weight. Just diet my suggestion would be to get a book by Ellington Darden. He has one specifically targeted at women and the one i think is the best is Hot Hips and Fabulous Thighs. I love this book because it has lots of menus on top of exercise and diet advice and you can get a used copy off of amazon for a few .
I certainly did I followed the book and only lifted weights for 30min 3 times a week.
Im a flexitarian and I eat vegetarian at my house but if i eat at someone elses i eat what im served. I expect no one to go out of their way for me.
I lost 30lbs in 5 months from 210 to 177 using Dr. Dardens techniques. Before the book I had tried many ways but none worked for me and i didnt understand what i was doing until he explained the how tos.
